SUBIACO environmental consultancy business Strategen has joined forces with national firm JBS&G Australia.

In WA the combined business will be known as Strategen-JBS&G, with current Strategen chief executive Darren Walsh becoming the executive director of the combined firm.

Mr Walsh said the partnership would enable the 25-year-old Perth business to expand to the east coast.

“We had a look at growing our business in the east coast and have a couple of clients who are based here and we do work for them in other states, but it’s very hard to expand organically,” he said.

“We were approached by JBS&G in about May last year.

“They have a national presence and a small office in Perth and were looking at a significant expansion for the Perth operation.”

Mr Walsh said WA clients would still get personalised service but have access to more expertise.
