Subiaco: Bistro Felix double win at Restaurant and Catering

Denise S. CahillWestern Suburbs Weekly

BISTRO Felix owner Jeremy Cariss was announced the new national vice-president of the Restaurant and Catering Association just hours before his Subiaco restaurant won a silver medal.

Previously the WA chairman of the association, Mr Cariss said his new role would give him the opportunity to see what other venues around Australia were doing and share that knowledge with WA operators.

He said the association played a significant role in setting a national agenda around the direction of restaurants and catering acts.

“The association has operated the same way for some time but there’s significant change around the way it’s being run, we’re taking a much more modern approach,” Mr Cariss said.

“We’re surveying our members and non-members to find out what they need from the association and we’ll use that data to move forward.”

Bistro Felix won silver in the Beer Cafe/Wine Bar category of the Restaurant and Catering 2018 Awards for Excellence.
