Panorama Catering owner Mr Hancey said he was passionate about bringing ‘food conversations’ from the stage to the dining table at home during the third annual boutique food and wine show in Subiaco next week.

‘The right ingredients enhance a good wine and vice versa, so it is the ultimate partnership,’ he said.

‘When we demonstrate a recipe, we don’t just say: ‘This is how you fry a bit of fish’, we talk about where the fish was caught, where the herbs were picked and what olive grove the oil came from.

‘It is all about preserving the integrity of the ingredients and taking a holistic view of what we put on our plates.’

As an ambassador for WA grown and produced food, Mr Hancey will host guest chefs on the UnWined WA stage including the ‘Cooking Professor’ Riki Kaspi, Peter Manifis and ‘dude food’ master Jason Floyd from the Subiaco Hotel.

‘We will also have chefs from the Royal Australian Navy to offer a unique insight into catering to a couple of thousand hungry men and women,’ he said.

Mr Hancey said UnWined WA was true to its name as a relaxed and unpretentious outing perfect for any food lover. ‘I see this event like a good recipe because we have all the quality ingredients and right timing,’ he said.
