Social media trolls Married At First Sight post looking for contestants

THE 2019 season of Married At First Sight (MAFS) Australia has been marred by abuse, cheating, tears and tantrums, but that has not prevented producers throwing out a casting call for the next series.

A post looking for actors….. sorry, contestants was placed on the MAFS Facebook page on Monday and more than 8900 Facebook users commented.

“I’d rather be Shot At First Sight,” one woman wrote.

“Can I apply? I have no acting experience?” another added.

Another woman had a go at the experts – “Are they taking applications for the “experts” because the ones they have are useless,” she opined.

“Are you a family violence perpetrator? Apply now!” a further comment added.

“Apply now but don’t bother if you don’t have breast implants, injected lips, butterfly false eyelashes, actually want to find love, aren’t a wannabe actor*,” another woman joked.

Viewers can be forgiven for their cynicism – as there’s just one couple still together after five seasons of the TV show.

Erin Bateman and Bryce Mohr have been together since series two aired in 2016.
