Wembley Theatre serving up panto fun for whole family

WEMBLEY Theatre Company director Bryce Manning says its latest production is “two hours of family fun that will appeal to every age group”.

The company is presenting pantomime The Secret of Snow White, written by Tony Nicholls and featuring Scarborough resident Aimee Croston as the titular character, this month at Wembley Community Centre.

Manning said it would closely follow the traditional pantomime structure.

“We take a familiar fairytale and embellish it with plenty of humour, songs, love, revenge, over-the-top acting and a wedding at the end,” he said.

“While pantomimes flourish in England, they are not so widely known in Australia.

“It has been the Wembley Theatre Company’s passion to deliver this wonderful, uplifting, mad-capped form of theatre that audiences love for more than 20 years.”

Performances are on October 25 to 27, and November 1, 8 and 9.

Tickets cost $15 and are available online.
