PERTH-based Geelong Cats fans had a rare chance to see their idols in the flesh when players took time out at Wembley Golf Course today.

The team is in Perth for a week-long bonding camp ahead of their Saturday match against Fremantle.

Wembley Golf Course posted a photo on social media of players including captain Joel Selwood and powerhouse forward Tom Hawkins, and said they enjoyed mini golf and shots on the driving range.

The Wembley Downs venue appears to be a favourite among AFL players, with the West Coast Eagles also known to hit up the course.

Geelong will face the Dockers at Optus Stadium on Saturday from 2.35pm bounce down.
