Andrew Macnish favoured candidate to take Mosman Park reins

FORMER West Coast Eagles player and former Shire of Busselton chief executive Andrew Macnish (50) is the preferred candidate to be the new chief executive at Town of Mosman Park.

The council is currently negotiating Mr Macnish’s contract before a special meeting about his appointment next week, after which he would replace current chief executive Kevin Poynton who is not continuing his contact at the end of this year.

Mr Macnish has worked as a private management consultant since leaving the Shire of Busselton, where he led the staff from 2003 to 2010.

He played for Subiaco, Geelong and West Coast Eagles in the 1980s, before joining local government and becoming chief executive at the Shire of Bridgetown from 1998 to 2003.
