POLICE have charged two people with murder over the death of Mosman Park woman Annabelle Chen, whose body was found in a suitcase in the Swan River on July 2.

A 68-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman have been charged with Ms Chen’s murder.

Both have been refused bail and were due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court today.

Ms Chen, 57, was an Australian citizen who had lived in WA since 1999 and had been in her Meath Mews, Mosman Park, home for the past 14 years.

She was last seen at her home on June 30.

It took police more than two months to identify Ms Chen.

It took a report from her daughter living in Victoria earlier this month to lead to the identification.
