The Broome artist returns to the Claremont Showground this week with eight artworks to be part of the guest town exhibition.

The show coincides with Ms Simcock’s exhibition, On the Wings of a Jabiru, at Kidogo Arthouse Gallery, Fremantle.

She first took up a pencil six years ago and focussed her art on endangered marsupials.

‘I moved on to marine animals because I enjoyed swimming with the manta rays and now it’s the birds,’ Ms Simcock said.
