Association puts in for play space

The outdoor play space, which was developed with Nature Play Solutions, has sand boxes, swinging ropes and a working water pump, where previously there was just an empty grassed area.

The Association raised $33,000 for the 18-month project.

Penelope Melis from the Association said parents wanted a design that would improve children’s upper body strength.

‘The whole area was just grass before this,’ Mrs Melis said.

‘Now there is more focused play and it’s a great start for their imagination. Kids can make mud – they enjoy that.’

With more than 70 children at the Pre-primary, it was important to parents that the new design allowed the children to spread out.

‘There are different zones, so the kids can spread out,’ Mrs Melis said.
