Bali rocked by earthquake

BALI has been rocked by an earthquake, which hit off the coast this morning.

The quake, measuring 5.7 on the Richter Scale, struck just after 8am local time, off the south-east of the island.

No tsunami warning has been issued for the region.

According to the US Geological Survey, the quake hit 40km, south-south east of Kendalrejo.

The earthquake is believed to have hit 100km below ground.
