Barber shop fires: police seek information

Greig JohnstonWestern Suburbs Weekly

ARSON squad detectives are seeking information on two deliberately lit fires in barber shops.

On February 4, about 4am, someone smashed the glass front door of a barber shop on Cecil Avenue, Cannington.

The offender set fire to the shop, which was destroyed with damage estimated at $500,000, before leaving in a dark-coloured four-wheel drive.

The shop had been targeted previously, with a four-wheel drive being used to ram a shutter door in January.
