Boys arrested over burglary on Cottesloe home

A PAIR of boys were allegedly among a group of five who burgled a Loma Street, Cottesloe home between 6pm and 6.45pm on Sunday, January 20.

“It will be alleged five juvenile males forced the rear door of the house,” Senior Constable Mark Matthews said.

Alcohol, $30 cash, jewellery and two bicycles were taken.

“Two of them were detained by neighbours until police arrived,” Const Matthews said.

Those held by the neighbours were a 14-year-old from Gosnells and 12-year-old from Thornlie, while their alleged accomplices escaped on the stolen bikes.

Const Matthews said charges may be pending.
