Builders shine on national stage

A Dalkeith home built and designed by Giorgi Exclusive Homes won the top accolade ” Home of the Year 2014 ” as well as best custom-built home.

Grandwood by Zorzi won the spec home award, given to the best individual house not built to a client’s brief, for its high-tech Appealathon home in Perry Lakes.

The home was built with donated labour and building materials and the sales proceeds of nearly $3 million went to the Spine and Limb Foundation.

Dale Alcock Homes was recognised for its customer service, business management and leadership, being named the Australian Professional Major Builder of the Year for the third year.

The company was also named the Australian Professional Medium Builder-Renovator of the year, with the judges commenting that they were particularly impressed with the company’s customer service philosophy, built on exceeding expectations.

Dale Alcock Homes general manager Dean O’Rourke said winning the consecutive national titles was a huge accomplishment given the high calibre of competition from across the country.

‘It’s testament to the dedication, hard work and attitude of each and every one of our employees,’ he said.
