THE 2017 City to Surf has been run and won, with Matt Ramsden (20) crossing the line fastest in the 12km in a time of 36 minutes and two seconds.
That time was just a minute-and-a-half slower than the race record.
Ramsden finished well clear of second-placed Joshua Tedesco (37.45) with Marc See (38.18) in third spot.

READ NOWMeanwhile, the women’s race record did fall – with Olympian Eloise Wellings breaking Lisa Weightman’s record of 40.15, set in 2010, by a second.
Wellings won from Linda Spencer (41.06) with Catherine van der Walt (43.19).
In the marathon, Ashley Miles won in a time of two hours, 29 minutes and five seconds, while Rolenda Giorgi was the fastest woman in 3:03.19.
