TELETHON Speech and Hearing chief executive Mark Fitzpatrick will swim 100m with a floatie in the 100th Swim Thru Perth event next weekend… he just doesn’t know how yet.

Mr Fitzpatrick said he was still finalising his tactics for the swim on Sunday, January 20 in the Swan River from Matilda Bay.

The 100m CEO Challenge and 800m Corporate Cup are new additions to the century-old event that will raise money for Telethon Speech and Hearing this year.

Mr Fitzpatrick said money raised would support early intervention programs at the Wembley-based organisation.

“The event has a natural connection to Telethon Speech and Hearing in terms of showing people that kids with hearing loss can participate,” he said.

“Even kids with devices can get in the water, it’s not a barrier for them.”

Register for the 800m Corporate Cup, 3.5km Challenge, 1.6km Classic or 250m Try-It at https://www.swimthruperth.org/ by midnight next Thursday.
