Chance to have your say on site

D2 Property last week launched www.gatewaysubiaco.com.au to provide background and design details on its planned development on the corner of Rokeby and Roberts roads.

The City-run Have Your Say Subiaco webpage also includes information on the State Government proposed Scheme Amendment 18 and how to get involved and make a public submission.

The scheme amendment would rezone the block bordered by Roberts and Rokeby roads and Hay and Catherine streets to a new town centre development zone and introduce an area specific plan for the old Pavilion Market site.

This plan includes heights ranging from five storeys at the corner of Rokeby Road up to seven storeys fronting Roberts Road and up to 16 storeys on 25 per cent of the block in the middle of the site fronting Seddon Street. Managing director Ian Day said the Gateway Subiaco site was part of the property developer’s continuing commitment to community consultation.

‘The website details our vision to revive the Pavilion site so that it becomes a highly-activated public space in the heart of Subiaco,’ Mr Day said.

‘It outlines the public consultation process which we initiated over two years ago and details how that led to the creation of our tailored design for the Pavilion site.’
