At a special council meeting last Thursday night, councillors unanimously voted to reject the application from TPG Town Planning, Urban Design and Heritage to build a $6 million multi-use building.

The application proposed a five-storey building with two levels of parking, four residential units and 1084sq m of office space.

Thirteen people in the gallery cheered as councillors debated the item, all voicing their strong opposition to the development.
