CHRIST Church Grammar School (CCGS) student William Hu was awarded the 2018 Best in School Award.
The Year 12 student qualified for the award after achieving a score of 4.96 out of 5 at the Australian Mathematics Competition.
CCGS Head of Mathematics Megan West said the school was proud of William’s efforts.
“Last year, William was invited to train and make selection for the 2017 International Physics Olympiad team and had to decline due to participation in the Australian Mathematical Olympiad where he gained a perfect score and won Gold,” she said.
“Apart from Mathematics, he is widely recognised for his piano skills and has played at Carnegie Hall on more than one occasion.
“He has accumulated many accolades over the years.”
