City of Nedlands celebrates volunteers at annual appreciation event

CITY of Nedlands paid thanks to its volunteers at its annual appreciation event on October 22 at John Leckie Pavilion.

Organised by the Nedlands Volunteer Resource Centre, the event was attended by Nedlands Mayor Max Hipkins and he expressed his appreciation for the contribution volunteers make.

“Volunteers give their time to extend and enhance services provided by the City and these services, and the people who receive them, are richer for their contribution,” he said.

“During the past year, more than 150 inspiring individuals have committed their time and shared their skills for the common good of this community. “
