Judges were unanimous in their praise for Ms D’Opera, who they believed created a “powerful composition”.

Buey Cole won the Mobile category with Solitude, and judges were impressed by the minimalistic moody image of a solitary figure.

Richard Goodwin was triumphant in the Subiaco category with Boxed Life.

The judges said the strong geometric patterns and use of vibrant colour told the story of contemporary Subiaco.

Bull Creek Primary School student, 11-year-old Kai Caspelherr took out the top Kids’ prize with his entry Duel.

The winning Mobile entry, Solitude by 17-year-old Buey Cole from Corpus Christi College, also took out the Youth category.

All finalists’ photographs will be on display at Subiaco Library until November 25.
