Cottesloe Beach bashing accused to face court again in December

Jon BassettWestern Suburbs Weekly

COLLIE man Sean Fisher (22) has been remanded in custody to appear at Perth Magistrates Court for the alleged bashing and robbery of an Iranian grandmother (59) who suffered a broken jaw at Cottesloe Beach on October 16.

At Bunbury Magistrates Court last Friday, Mr Fisher did not enter pleas for two charges of grievous bodily harm, robbery and aggravated robbery.

It is alleged the tourist, who was visiting her family in Cottesloe, was hit and her handbag, cash and iPhone taken after she refused a request for cigarettes while sitting near beach steps close to the Cottesloe Surf Lifesaving Club.

Police will also allege Mr Fisher grabbed another woman from behind and stole her handbag at Warnbro train station several hours later.

He will appear by video at the Perth court on December 7.
