SENIORS yoga is making the most of a $768,590 refurbishment of the Lesser Hall at the Civic Centre in Cottesloe.

“We are all very happy with it, and when they first walked in the ladies all said it’s lovely,” yoga instructor Jennifer Fuller said.

Ms Fuller (82) has been instructing students at the hall since 1983 and said she now hosts “softer” classes for seniors each Wednesday morning.

“Before the refurbishment, the kitchen was awful and the toilet terrible,” she said.

Cottesloe Council’s six-month rebuild used money from the sale of the Town’s Nailsworth Street depot for improvement, including a new kitchen and toilet, air-conditioning, replastering, a new floor, a strengthened roof, new lights and security

Cottesloe Mayor Jo Dawkins said the renovated hall was now “perfect” for meetings, training and small events.

The hall can be booked at the council’s website.
