Customer service a top priority

Red Promotional senior account manager Matt Bananno said it was an easy decision to nominate for the Excellence in Customer Service award.

‘It has been so beneficial to build our foundations in the local community,’ Mr Bananno said.

‘Even though we have a fully integrated online system, we don’t rely on the autonomous nature of our website.

‘In the world of promotional products, what you see on a computer screen might not be the ideal fit for your brand or company.

‘I like to actually talk to people in person and build up relationships rather than just focusing on the sale.’

Mr Bananno said he was looking forward to being actively involved in SBA events and networking.

‘Being able to meet decision-makers and talk about issues that are important to local businesses will be so valuable,’ he said.

‘There are some shops in Subiaco that are obviously struggling with getting people through the doors and that’s where we, as a promotional company, can help out.

‘I truly believe it is an exciting time in Subiaco, because we now have a level to build from and grow.’

Last year, more than 50 businesses in the boundaries of the City of Subiaco and City of Nedlands entered the SUBIZ Awards.

‘The application process encourages businesses to conduct a constructive, reflective review of their operations, which is beneficial to everyone who enters,’ SBA president Geoff Parnell said.

The 2013 SUBIZ Awards ceremony will be held in October.
