Dalkeith PS students helping Hawaiian bring a Merry Xmas to those in need

DALKEITH Primary School students have gathered goodies to give families in need a merrier Christmas.

The school was one of 16 involved in this year’s Hawaiian Giving Box campaign, collecting non-perishable foods and gifts for Foodbank and Anglicare WA ahead of the festive season.

Hawaiian chief executive Russell Gibbs said each Christmas thousands of Perth families struggle with the reality of not being able to provide a special dinner for their family or put a gift under the Christmas tree.

“We’re honoured to be able to provide some support to members of the community who may be finding it difficult at this time of year,” Mr Gibbs said.
