SUBIACO eateries are encouraging dog owners to dine with their pooches.

The See Subiaco initiative involves dog owners purchasing food or drinks at participating cafes and capturing their furry friend on Instagram relishing Mog & Bone’s luxurious accessories for chance to win a $500 voucher at the pet accessories store.

Paws in Subi winners will be announced on August 2 and photos entries will be posted on the #SeeSubiaco Instagram page.

Dog owner and City of Subiaco Mayor Heather Henderson is a regular on Subiaco streets with her dog Tilly.

“There are so many positive effects that a pet can bring to its owner, enriching their lives and positively impacting their health and encouraging social interactions,” Mrs Henderson said.

“Not only does walking your dog help you to get exercise, your social life may also improve.

“People are more likely to stop and talk with you when you’re walking a dog, striking up conversations with you about your pet.”
