TWO guns and a safe were stolen on Tuesday in separate burglaries in Swanbourne which police suspect are connected..
“They’ve forcibly ripped a gun cabinet off the wall at a Clement Street home,” Senior Sergeant Peter Gilmour said.
The raiders used a rear bathroom window to enter the house between 1.30pm and 6.45pm that day.
Sgt Gilmour said they took the single-shot, 12-gauge shot gun, a .22-calibre rifle and a box of .22 ammunition that was in the locker.
Between 10.30am and 5pm, an alarm was smashed before a James Street home was entered by forcing open its front door.
A safe was taken from the master bedroom, and its contents are currently being determined.
Both burglaries were forensically examined and are being investigated by Perth-based detectives.
