The Subiaco resident has outgrown the style, so she has launched New Look 4 A New Focus to shed the dreads and raise money for Youth Focus at the same time.

‘Youth Focus is close to my heart because it helps kids with depression,’ Brazill said.

‘A school friend committed suicide about a month ago.

‘I’m hoping that this helps get Youth Focus out there and people understand there’s help available and you are not alone.’

Brazill played five games for the Fever this year before being sidelined with a wrist injury.

The midcourt player has been selected for a program at the Centre of Excellence in Canberra where she will spend two-and-a-half months from late August with specialised coaches before taking part in a two-week tour of South Africa.

Brazill has raised more than $2000 so far and will cut off her dreads on Thursday, June 12, at 11.15am at Maurice Meade Subiaco.
