Drugs, stolen jewellery allegedly found when police search car in Leederville

Jon BassettWestern Suburbs Weekly

PROPERTY alleged to have been stolen from Albany was found in a Mitsubishi Magna stopped by police in Vincent Street, Leederville about 10.35am on March 11.

It will be alleged a search of the Magna also found cannabis, stolen registration plates and jewellery stolen from burglaries in the Great Southern town.

Information given to police by the public led officers to subsequently search a rubbish bin in Fitzroy Street, West Perth.

The bin allegedly contained jewellery stolen recently from a home in Landsdale, where the Magna was also seen.
