Elton John announces Australia tour support

Staff WriterWestern Suburbs Weekly

SIR Elton John has announced 23-year-old Sydney musician Tate Sheridan will be his support act at outdoor shows on his upcoming tour of Australia.

The tour will kick off at HBF Park (Perth Oval) on Saturday November 30.

Sheridan caught Sir Elton’s attention in 2015 when he was asked to open select Australian and New Zealand dates on his tour that December.

In 2019-2020, Sheridan will join Sir Elton on 22 of his 34 Australian dates, performing songs from his latest solo work, Angel Man.

“I’m thrilled to be opening for Sir Elton John once again, on his final Australian tour,” Tate said.

“He was probably my biggest childhood hero and his music has been a huge inspiration.

“It all feels very surreal and I can’t wait to play alongside this musical legend later this month and into 2020.”
