Fire ‘devastating’

Staff ReporterWestern Suburbs Weekly

A Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) spokesman said the fire caused more than $800,000 damage to the Hood Street warehouse.

‘The fire was reported at 1.08am and fully extinguished about two hours later,’ he said.

Although DFES investigators were unable to determine a cause, Mr Kelly said he believed a computer in an adjoining office might have started the fire.

‘There’s nothing left here, it’s quite horrific,’ he said.
