Flags have Barnett’s approval

“During one of those times in Opposition sitting up there at the back of the Parliamentary chamber, I found the WA flag had not been properly established as the State’s flag,” he said.

His Private Member’s Bill secured the design as the State’s flag and since becoming Premier he has presented flags to all his constituency’s primary schools, which often keep them on small flagpoles made by the Mosman Park Men’s Shed.

The bowling club’s flag will fill a gap on a large pole at the front of its clifftop headquarters on Bay View Terrace, Mosman Park.
