Foot painting

PAINTING is difficult using your hands, let alone your feet.

However, Activ artist Roslyn Burns, who has been in a wheelchair since she was four after a car crash, is somewhat of a professional.

Ms Burns' work has been displayed across the state and later this year she will launch her solo exhibition.

"I couldn't use my hands, so thought I would try to use my foot to see if I could do it," she said.

"It takes me a lot of concentration to paint with my foot and it makes me tired."

Her flagship piece will be auctioned off at an exhibition hosted by Activ featuring original art pieces created by people living with disability.

All proceeds will go to supporting the Activ artists in future exhibitions.

The free exhibition will run from May 9 to 17 at the Activ Library, Wembley and is open to the public.
