The car park is located on the corner of Hay Street and Hamilton Street and will be open for use until June 30, 2020.

Mayor Penny Taylor said office and construction workers would benefit from the extra parking space.

“This is affordable all day parking – we’ve received positive feedback from local businesses that it’s an active place where people can park safely,” she said.

Parking located on the roof level, accessible from Hay Street, will be the only floor in use at the moment and contains about 80 bays.

The remaining two levels will become available if the City finds a public demand for them in the future.

City of Subiaco unanimously agreed the move on Tuesday. .
