A header in the 11th minute began Kerr’s night, and she found the net again three minutes before the break.

Havana Solaun scored for Jamaica four minutes into the second half to ensure some nervy moments for Ante Milicic’s side.

But when Kerr completed her hat-trick in the 69th minute the result was never in doubt.

She completed the rout in the 83rd minute, sending Australia into a knockout class with Norway on Sunday morning at 3am Perth time.
