FRESHWATER Bay Primary School students are getting ready to take on the colour run challenge.
P&C fundraising representative Melinda Hayes said they had seen colour runs – where participants are covered in different coloured paint throughout the race – at schools over east and in WA and thought it would be a great way to fundraise for the school.
“The students are all very excited about the event and can’t wait to get messy,” she said.

About 440 children will be getting outdoors to take part in the colour run, with their families encouraged to come and watch.
Ms Hayes said the P&C hoped to raise $20,000 to upgrade school buildings.
“We’re fundraising to develop an outdoor classroom and learning environment for the kindergarten area, and also assist with the upgrades to Herbert Hall in the main school area,” she said.
