A RECALL has been issued for popular frozen meals over fears they may contain salmonella weltevreden bacterium.

The recall is for various Core Powerfoods frozen meals.

The recalled products have been available for sale at independent retailers in NSW, ACT, QLD, VIC, SA, NT and WA as well as Coles shops nationally.

The recalled products are:

  • Core Powerfoods Going Nuts
  • Core Powerfoods Deep South Chilli
  • Core Powerfoods Muay Thai Meatballs
  • Core Powerfoods Holy Meatballs
  • Core Powerfoods Naked Chicken
  • Core Powerfoods Seismic Chicken
  • Core Powerfoods Old School
  • Core Powerfoods Smokey Mountain Meatballs

The recall affects products with best before dates of 26/8/2020 to 4/10/2020 inclusive.

Consumers should not consume this product as salmonella weltevreden can cause illness.

Those who have purchased this product should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
