Despite a one-week extension to June 14, the Ninety for Ninety social media drive to raise $1000 for every 90 years the club has operated made just $30,000.
Perth SLSC president Grant Trew told the Western Suburbs Weekly last month that the not-for-profit volunteer organisation relied exclusively on the generosity of its community.
Mr Trew said $90,000 was needed to fit out the first-aid and training rooms at its new clubrooms in City Beach, expected to be completed next month.

READ NOWAnother crowdfunding campaign to open a cat café in Perth, which ran concurrently to the Ninety for Ninety campaign, exceeded its $150,000 target.
The Cat Café Perth founders Chris Mewburn and Terps Platritis said last Thursday that their bank loan had been approved and the café was “definitely going ahead”.
Mr Mewburn said the most-suggested locations for the themed cat café were Rokeby Road in Subiaco, Oxford Street in Leederville and Mt Lawley’s Beaufort Street.
“At first, we planned to get it up before Christmas, but after this amazing response we now want to open much sooner,” he said.
The café will involve and support local animal shelters, including the Cat Haven in Shenton Park.
