Get thready for free sewing classes

GET help fixing household items at the Repair Café in Doubleview.

The free event offers handy volunteers who can provide engraving, clothing repairs, bike maintenance and fix furniture and electronics on the second Saturday of the month from 10am to noon.

West Stirling Neighbourhood House will also host free sewing workshops before the next Repair Café on July 13.

Sewing 101 will teach people aged five and older how to hand sew, stitch on a button and sew a hem.

Materials will be provided and classes run on the half hour from 8am to the last session at 10am.
