A GANG of girls is suspected to be behind raids for alcohol at the BWS bottleshop at the Albion Hotel in Cottesloe.

Up to five girls, mostly in their mid-teens, were reported to be responsible for four raids on the bottleshop that netted $2000 of alcohol in a spate between Easter Saturday and Anzac Day.

Senior Constable Mark Matthews said five girls from their mid- to late-teens hit the shop again about 6pm on April 29.

“It is quite likely that some of the same offenders are involved in these incidences,” he said.

“One was asked for her ID, and she had none, so they were asked to leave, and went out past the cash register laughing at the attendant,” he said.

The girls had taken a carton of pre-mixed vodka drinks and three cartons of pre-mixed bourbon drinks.

They were described as dark skinned.

Their raid followed another by a boy aged 15 to 17 and two girls aged 15 to 17 about 4.20pm the previous day, when three bottles of bourbon worth $250 were taken.

The boy was described as dark skinned with short, curly hair, and wore a rainbow-striped jumper.

One girl was described as slim, with fair complexion and long hair, who wore jeans and a spaghetti-strap top, and her accomplice had brown hair and a medium build.
