A HIGH tea in Mt Hawthorn next week will raise money for cancer research.

The event at The Teddy Tree will be held as part of the Cancer Council’s Girls Night In fundraising campaign.

Organiser of the event and owner of The Teddy Tree Jenny Boylan said it was the second year she had taken part, with the goal of raising money and bringing people together.

“We’ve all been touched by cancer. We have had family, friends and customers who have been affected, so we wanted to do something to help and give back,” she said.

“We’re hoping to raise as much money as we can, every dollar helps.”

Ms Boylan’s dog, Ricky will also feature as the mascot for the event.

The Girls Night In high tea will be on from 1pm to 4pm on October 22.

Tickets are $10 for the event. To RSVP contact The Teddy Tree on 9201 1011.
