Good Food and Wine Show kicks off in Perth

Belinda CiprianoWestern Suburbs Weekly

PERTH’S Good Food and Wine show kicked off in style with celebrity chefs Anna Gare, Alistair Mcleod, Gary Mehgin, Adriano Zumbo and “crazy bull” Miguel Maestre turning out to celebrate the fun-filled foodie weekend.

Friday morning’s media launch saw guests enjoy a beer and cheese masterclass, followed by a barbecue with former My Kitchen Rules winners Sammy and Bella Jakubiak and champagne and canapes with the stars of the show.

Maestre, a clear favourite with the crowd, entertained VIPs with his charismatic personality and fun antics.

Not one to shy away from the camera, Maestre showed off his skills behind the camera, stealing our very own Western Suburbs Weekly photographer Andrew Ritchie’s camera and snapping away.

Maestre told the crowd he loved the WA event and especially enjoyed his Friday night demonstrations which often turned into a big party.

This year’s show featured exhibitors who showcased their latest and most innovative products ranging from meats, cheeses, fresh produce, desserts, wine, and beer to cookbooks, kitchen appliances and gadgets, while inspired cooks got their dose of culinary insights at the Good Food Theatre.
