The 19-year-old from Floreat is running in the Town of Cambridge’s coastal ward, studies sustainability at Murdoch University and is a professional graffiti artist.
Mr Sinclair said he decided to run for council because he felt local government misrepresented and disconnected from young people and would use his experience working with local projects such as the youth centre to promote youth involvement in the community.
‘As someone who lives in the area, there’s been a complete lack of interaction ” which hasn’t been voluntary. I would love to have been more interactive with my local government but to me it seems they’ve never really reached out quite significantly to youth and asked for their opinion,’ he said.
