HBF Stadium death: worker dies after falling from the roof

A MAN has died after falling from the roof of HBF Stadium (formerly Challenge Stadium) where he was working on Wednesday.

The incident was reported at 2pm, after the man – reported to be a scaffolder – fell 20m to the ground.

An ambulance was called to the Mount Claremont venue, and he was taken to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital for treatment.

The man later died and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
