Democracy sausages on the menu this election day

WITH about 41 per cent of West Australia voters expected to get their lips around a sausage sizzle this Saturday the Democracy Sausage website is ready to help the public find their election day snack.

Democracy Sausage has grown from humble beginnings in 2013 to be Word of the Year in 2016, with the 2019 Federal Election promising the be biggest #democracysausage day yet.

About 481,517 people are expected to buy a sausage on Saturday in Western Australia.

 

There are 222 sausage sizzle stalls registered in the State thus far, 49 of these have vegetarian offerings, 15 are Halal, 130 will have bacon and egg rolls, and there are 159 cake stalls. Click here to find your nearest stall.

Senior sausage analyst, Annette Tyler, encourages voters to report in on their local booth on election day:

“You can send us booth reports on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram, message our Reddit account, or submit booth information directly via the democracysausage.org website,” she said.
