LOCAL students Tabitha Kerlin (14) and Breanna Abreu (17) are set to storm the stage in Thoroughly Modern Millie.

The pair will share the lead role of Millie in Iona Presentation College’s production at the Regal Theatre.

The musical follows the story of small-town girl Millie Dillmount, who arrives in New York City in 1922 with a dream to live happily ever after in the glitz and glamour of the big city; but these plans for a ‘modern’ life start to go awry.

Following a rigorous rehearsal schedule, performances will begin later this month.

“It has been my dream to one day play a lead role, and I think Thoroughly Modern Millie is just the musical to show what I can do,” Tabitha said.

Evening performances will run from March 23 to 24 at 7.30pm, with matinee performances from March 24 to 25 at 2pm.

Bookings can be made at ticketek.com.au or by calling 132 849.
