“It’s amazing for the staff to be recognised.”

This year has seen students bring their grandparents to school for a special morning tea and performances from Jolimont’s Got Talent, ice sculpting competitions, science challenges, and much more.

Students from Years 4 to 6 also designed and built their own playground equipment, with other children voting on the winning design to be built from P&C funding.

More than 360 teachers from around the state have flocked to Jolimont to take part in teacher development at the school.

Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery congratulated all the WA Education Awards winners and finalists.

“It’s a privilege to acknowledge outstanding teachers, leaders and school support staff who provide a high quality public education to WA students,” she said.
