LEGAL Aid WA has reportedly dropped its claim against the Mickelberg brothers as part of a bid to recover money spent on defending their wrongful conviction.
A post on the Justice for the Mickelbergs announced the news this afternoon, calling today “a great day for justice”.
“Today we have been told that the Legal Aid Commission has dropped its case against Ray and Peter,” the post said.

“It is unfathomable that this happened in the first place and I expect that without the tireless efforts of our supporters and WA media it would have continued.”
The post said that anyone who had donated to the cause would be contacted for a full refund.
