Victoria RificiWestern Suburbs Weekly

STUDENTS at Loreto Nedlands participated in a colour run and raised over $8900 on November 9 to support Libraries for Loreto Vietnam.

Loreto Vietnam is the school’s initiative that aims to help improve infrastructure within existing schools in Vietnam’s most underprivileged communities.

Money raised by the school will go towards building or renovating classrooms, libraries, computer rooms, multipurpose rooms and sanitary toilet facilities.

“Every dollar that the Loreto Nedlands children raise will be forwarded to Vietnam and put to very good use to support the Library program,” Principal Therese Hussey said.

“Sincerest thanks to the P&F committee for supporting this initiative and I look forward to presenting a generous cheque to Thao Nguyen, Chair of the Loreto Vietnam Board, when she visits in November.”
