FOUNDER of Loud Lotte and The Jacket Shop, Pia Bennett, will bring her label to St Quentin’s Avenue on December 5 for a one-day pop up sale.

Based in North Fremantle at Queen Victoria Street, both Ms Bennett’s jackets and kids wear designs will be available to try on and buy in Claremont, just in time for silly season shopping.

“We have more of an online presence so it will be nice to show all the new stock that’s come in, especially ahead of Christmas,” she said.

The Swanbourne resident initially designed and sold high end fashion jackets, but launched her kids brand in mid 2016, after she realised there was a gap in the market for older kids clothing.

She said her kids wear designs were ethically brought to life in a small factory in Vietnam.

“I started out as a visual artist, studied fine art and always made women’s things like jackets and garments, and then the kids wear is a progression in the making,” she said.

“There was a gap in the market for older kids, especially with pretty dresses for girls beyond ten,” she said.

Ms Bennett said her brand was a culmination of her love for visual arts and fashion design.

Block coloured, unique garments that are not necessarily “in trend” was Ms Bennett’s vision when designing her kids range.

“My focus was to use block colours, and to open up the garment, seeing trims, and it being something special rather than some fad you put on,” she said.

Ms Bennett said she had plans to one day open a retail outlet but would make it small and interesting, rather than big and commercial.
